CTI FoodTech’s innovations arrive at the “World Avocado Congress”, to be held in Medellín, Colombia. The event, which will host over 70 exhibitors and 3.500 participants, will gather the entire production chain at a global level.
Past editions of the World Avocado Congress took place in South Africa, USA, Israel, Mexico, Spain, Chile, Australia and Peru.
CTI FoodTech’s staff, which will exhibit with booth N11 level 3 of the congress and exhibition center “Plaza Mayor”, will showcase the innovations of the Italian company in the industrial fruit processing sector. Visitors will have a chance to appreciate the features of the new 300 AVC, the first machine in the world capable of pitting the avocado. Before this machine was introduced, the pitting phase of industrial avocado processing at all plants in the world was carried out exclusively by hand. This made the process much slower and less profitable in terms of manpower employed and productive capacity. The machine was completely designed, developed and tested by the engineers of CTI FoodTech R&D department, supervised by Eng. Biagio Crescenzo, owner of the international patent already filed. The “300 AVC” allowed CTI FoodTech to achieve several awards both at national and international level, such as the Best Practices for Innovation Award in Italy and the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award in Berlin, Germany.
