Pear Coring CTI-EPC

To make pear coring more effective, precise and fast, CTI FoodTech developed the CTI-EPC.

The name stands for “Electronic Pear Coring”, which highlights the great quantum leap the machine stands out for compared to competition. The CTI-EPC is in fact capable of detecting electronically the fruits height differences, to adjust the degree of processing in such a way each channel and station is independent and to process each fruit in a different way. This allows to minimize waste and maximize yield, for a more effective processing. A major benefit is the choice of designing the CTI-EPC to core only previously peeled pears, unlike slower and more costly alternatives, which lose a conspicuous yield percent because of the mechanical peeling process. With low costs and high yield, at the speed of 300 fruits per minute, the CTI-EPC can definitely contribute to make the final product more competitive on the market. The machine can also optionally cut the fruit in two, which makes it a complete cutting solution for industrial pear processing.

The CTI-EPC was extensively tested in two campaigns in Spain, and was officially introduced on the American market at the Food Processing Expo in California (USA).
