Our Story
Year 1986
The story of CTI FoodTech in fruit processing machinery, particularly in peach pitting, began in 1986 when C.T.I., founded by Eng. Biagio Crescenzo, promoted a program to export Italian technologies to Spain.
Quickly recognizing the low efficiency of existing peach pitting technologies on the market, CTI became the market leader in Spain within just four years, selling hundreds of spoon pitting machines, for which model it currently holds the original patent.
Year 1994
The Spanish company Crescenzo Tecnología e Ingeniería S.L was established as aftermarket support on the Spanish market, both for spare parts and technical service.
Year 1996
F.M.C. and C.T.I. jointly entered the Spanish market with the new model 300-A pitting machine and collaborated on the improvement and marketing of the model “CT800 Extended Aligner” torque pitting machine, with a capacity of 82 peaches per minute.
Year 2008
CTI FoodTech officially purchased the “Peach Production Line” business unit from FMC FoodTech, along with manufacturing rights, patents, and designs of the entire peach production line.
Year 2009
CTI FoodTech introduces an upgrade of the CT800 torque pitting machine, exporting this model to both the U.S.A. and Spain. The same year, the model 300-A pitter was introduced in China.
Year 2010
CTI FoodTech installs 8 model 300-A pitting machines at China’s peach canning market leader. This is the first automatic peach processing line ever installed in China.
Year 2011
CTI FoodTech consolidates its leadership on the Chinese market with the model 300-A pitting machine and completes the automatic pitting line at China’s market leading canning company. Japan’s leading producer of canned peaches chooses the model 300-A pitting machine for its production. The new model 320 APA pitting machine is finally introduced and marketed in Italy, Spain, and South America.

Year 2012
The 320 APA pitting machine achieves remarkable success, conquering international markets. Several units are installed at factories of major processed food producers in Spain, Greece, China, Bulgaria and South America. Numerous units are installed in the factories of major canning manufacturers in Spain, Greece, China, Bulgaria and South America.
Year 2013
CTI FoodTech consolidates its leadership in Spain by installing dozens of 320 APA machines.
Year 2014
A video of the new MECATRON peach pitting machine is screened during the Cancon12 conference in Stellenbosch (South Africa), with CTI FoodTech sponsoring the event. CTI FoodTech is sponsoring the event.
At the CibusTec show in Parma, the first unit of the optical scan system applied to peach positioning, capable of aligning 100% of fruits along the suture line, was presented to the attending delegations.
Year 2015
CTI FoodTech designs and manufactures the 320 APA-E peach pitting machine, the electronic version of the 320 APA. The new model features an electronic system driven by a PLC (programmable logic controller), that increases its production performance compared to the previous model.
The innovative optical scan system previously tested on other models is modified and installed on the Repitter Vision repitting machine. This new machine is now capable of recycling peaches that failed to repit due to improper orientation.
Both machines achieve immediate sales success and help the company open up new commercial opportunities.
Year 2016
Through promotional efforts and partnership with its agent for North America Concentrated Solutions, CTI FoodTech confirms and expands its commercial presence on the USA market.
CTI FoodTech is granted membership of CLFP (California League of Food Processors), the association of food processing industries in California.
The Multifruit Coring pitting machine is introduced on the market, completing the range of pitting technologies supplied by CTI FoodTech. Designed for the Baby Food segment (zero pit fragment tolerance), the machine combines the high performance of CTI FoodTech technology with a top quality final product.
Year 2017
CTI FoodTech is certified ISO 9001:2015 for the design and manufacture of industrial fruit processing machines. This remarkable achievement rewards the company's ongoing commitment to maintain the highest quality standards in its production processes.
Throughout the year, the company diversifies its offerings, capturing additional market segments in South America with machinery specifically designed for local production.
Business synergies with partner technology suppliers are strengthened and expanded.
Year 2018
To mark the opening of a new facility in Greece, CTI FoodTech organizes an event attended by leading figures in the Greek food processing industry and public officials from both countries. Several Greek specialized and general news outlets cover the event. The company attracts interest from local media and the University of Salerno, which invites CEO Biagio Crescenzo as a speaker at a seminar on entrepreneurship, and exhibits at trade shows on new markets, such as AgroTech in Uzbekistan, Expo-alimentaria in Peru, Polagra Tech in Poland, and World Avocado Congress in Colombia. At these events, two new machines are introduced: the 300 AVC pitting machine, the world’s first machine capable of pitting avocados, and the 350 APA-Vision, the fastest peach pitting machine on the market. The company’s website introduces the Spare Parts Area service, allowing customers to order spare parts online The new Peach Group brand is launched, representing all the companies of the industrial group and inspired to the flagship product processed with its machines. The year ends spectacularly with a triumphant first prize at the Confindustria Salerno Best Practices Award and a finalist nomination at the prestigious Innovation Award of the Fruit Logistica show in Berlin.
Year 2019
Fruit Logistica, the world's most important trade show for fruit processing held annually in Berlin, includes CTI FoodTech's new 300-AVC avocado pitting machine on the list of finalists for the prestigious Innovation Award, dedicated to the most innovative new foodtech products. The event provides the perfect opportunity to introduce this new addition to the pitting machine lineup, the world’s first machine capable of pitting the avocado, effectively showcasing the company’s commitment to ongoing research and innovation in food processing.

In October, CTI FoodTech officially opens its new headquarter facility in the Salerno Industrial Zone with a grand ceremony that served as a preview to the CibusTec show. 2022 marks the beginning of a new phase for CTI FoodTech. The company communication for this year is themed after the new trade statement “The New Way of Pitting”, which effectively summarizes the innovative spirit behind the design and marketing of its fruit processing technology. The concept was featured in CTI FoodTech’s booths at CLFP’s Food Processing Expo in Sacramento, California (USA), AnugaTec in Koln ( Germany), Foteg in Istanbul (Turkey). Once again, international specialized press is positively impressed by the company’s technical and commercial efforts.
