WHAT IS INDUSTRIAL PITTING?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Industrial<\/span>\u00a0pitting consists of the automatic removal of the fruit pit, through the aid of an industrial machinery capable of processing several fruits at once, and it is one of the most important phases to process, for instance, a timeless and always useful product such as canned peaches. A typical processed fruit production plant has a row of pitters of different \u201cformats\u201d (the fruit size) installed along<\/span>\u00a0the process line. Industrial pitting can be classified in the different systems \u201cspoon\u201d, \u201ctorque\u201d, \u201c<\/span>repitting<\/span>\u201d, \u201ccoring\u201d. We proceed<\/span>\u00a0now to analyze more in detail these technologies.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

HOW DOES PITTING WORK?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Spoon peach pitting is carried out by means of a couple of flat knives that split the fruit in two and a couple of spinning spoons that parts the pit from the pulp. It is the most convenient system for big production volumes, because the machine capacity is higher compared to other systems.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Torque pitting employs a mechanical grip system that parts the pit from the pulp through\u00a0<\/span>inverse rotation of the two peach halves. It has a lesser capacity but a higher yield, in terms of amount of pulp in the final product versus product waste.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When the industrial pitting process cannot remove the pit, which is still attached to the half peach pulp, we need a\u00a0<\/span>repitter<\/span>, which reprocesses on a conveyor belt the half peaches with the pit attached and removes the pit through a knife specifically designed for the purpose.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Coring application was designed to output a top quality final product (Zero Pit Fragment Tolerance) destined to the Baby Food sector, because the machine removes the whole cylinder section containing the pit, preventing fragment production altogether.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
