New achievement for CTI FoodTech. The Italian company managed to get on the difficult Chile market, after China, an exclusive patent for its peach pitter model MECATRON.
\nWe interviewed LiquidWeb CEO Pasquale Fedele, the company who partnered with CTI FoodTech to give a decisive contribution to the innovative project, installing on the machinery its AI algorithm derived from advanced research in the medical field.
\nAsked how his partnership with CTI FoodTech begun, Fedele says \u201cI met Biagio Crescenzo in China in 2011, within the mission organized by the project Italy of Innovators, and in that occasion I proposed to apply our technologies to a particular phase of the machine functioning, automating through employ of cameras a process that up to that moment was carried out manually\u201d.
\n\u201cAn idea very ahead of tendencies of industrial automation and robotics\u201d \u2013 Fedele continues \u2013 \u201cbecause everyone started speaking about Industry 4.0 in the last year, but we had been already experimenting with sensor automation and robotics for several years\u201d.
\nTo design MECATRON, we elaborated a feasibility study, analyzing laboratory materials and images first, then we proceeded to an on-field validation, testing a prototype in a real scenario.
\nThis was possible thanks to the values Pasquale Fedele has in common with Biagio Crescenzo, that is a visionary approach which allows to merge expertise and technologies of different origins, in a lively dynamic entrepreneurial reality.
\nFedele says \u201cI am certain that this kind of technology will find its way, although this is a traditional sector, in which it\u2019s not always easy for some innovations to be accepted\u201d.
\n\u201cItaly is certainly ready for Industry 4.0\u201d \u2013 Fedele continues \u2013 \u201cbecause the country is at the forefront, for instance, in Mechatronics, in spite of the entrepreneurial system composed of small realities which does not help to project excellencies onto an international level\u201d.
\nLiquidWeb CEO says the company focus today is on the Medical Device field, where LiquidWeb proposes a platform oriented to man-to-machine and machine-to-machine interaction, with applications that will be transferred in a few years toward industrial automotive and consumer segments, particularly robotics and Internet of Things.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
